In conjunction with multiple colleges across the trade territory, MFA offers several educational opportunities in agriculture. These collegiate programs are in conjuction with State Technical College of Missouri and North Central Missouri College. MFA also invests in an internship program for students working on their 4-year degrees with an interest in making agriculture their career.

MFA Incorporated has partnered with State Technical College of Missouri in Linn, to offer a new Custom Applicator Program. The MFA-sponsored program is the only one of its kind in Missouri and provides interested students with hands-on education, two internship experiences and the opportunity for full-time employment with MFA Incorporated after graduation.
State Tech’s Custom Applicator Program may be a good fit if you want to:
•Further your knowledge of agriculture
•Work in a high-demand field
•Operate heavy equipment
•Gain mechanical and technical education
•Earn a degree while getting hands-on job experience

In order to better meet the local workforce demand, North Central Missouri College will be adding a new certificate option for students interested in working in local agribusiness.
The Agriculture Operations Technology Certificate is endorsed by MFA Incorporated and will allow students to earn a 1-year certificate and the opportunity for an apprenticeship and full-time employment with MFA Incorporated.
Students will gain a base knowledge through classroom instruction in the following areas:
• Soils and Fertilizers
• Plant Science
• Animal Science
• Farm Safety
• Agriculture Mechanics
• Precision Agriculture
The MFA Ag Experience is a 12-week summer intership designed to challenge, educate and inspire. College students pursuing careers in agriculture, business and communications.
Each internship experience is unique to the student’s degree program and personal interests. Students are paired with a summer mentor who directs, challenges and teaches them about our company and their area of the business. Each mentor also outlines a summer-long project for their student to complete and present at the conclusion of the summer.
