This 12-week internship will provide students with the chance to explore multiple career opportunities within MFA Agri Services locations, such as custom applicator, truck driver, counter sales, crop consultant and general laborer.
Applications open Sept. 1 for internships that will begin in May 2026.
This 12-week program will provide students with the chance to explore multiple career opportunities within MFA Agri Services locations, such as custom applicator, truck driver, counter sales, crop consultant and general laborer. Through a structured rotation schedule, interns will be paired with a mentor and spend dedicated time in each role.
This immersive experience is designed to help the interns understand MFA’s daily operations and how the different roles contribute to the overall mission of supporting farmers, said Scott Morfeld, MFA Incorporated talent and development manager.
“We felt like this was a group of students we had missed through our current internships,” Morfeld said. “This new program will provide students with practical experience at a grassroots level. The goal is to test their skills and see where their interests lie so when they graduate, we can help them smoothly transition to a rewarding career with MFA.”
Along with gaining technical knowledge, Agri Services interns will also focus on building soft skills such as communication, teamwork and customer service. Reflection and feedback are built into the program, ensuring that students can assess their strengths, recognize challenges and identify areas for further growth.
“This program is about more than just a summer job,” Morfeld said. “It’s a way for students to not only learn about the agricultural services industry but also develop essential skills that will set them apart in their future careers.”
Applications for the Agri Services Internship Program open Sept. 1, 2025. Students interested in applying can learn more and apply online at mfa-inc.com/internships.
