Stage 1: Intensive Soil Sampling
This 2.5 acre grid sampling program will provide a baseline for your field’s nutrient levels and soil properties. This is essential to correct any underlying problems so that you can maximize yield. Great for range and pasture and crop ground that doesn’t have yield data.
Stage 2: Intensive Soil Sampling with Yield Monitor Crop Removal
Our premiere nutrient recommendation service, by combining grid soil sampling with your yield data, your nutrient recommendation is tailored to each acre of your field. No more flat yield goals that are placing too much fertilizer on the lower producing areas and not enough in the high producing spots. If yield data is available, this is the option to use.
Stage 3: Yield Monitor Crop Removal
This is perfect for fields that already have optimum fertility, maintain those levels by replacing exactly what you have removed. This program is also a good fit for rented ground.
Agricultural Systems Information Lab (ASIL) is a state-of-the-art centralized Geographical Information System (GIS). GIS hardware and software incorporated information collected from global positioning systems, yield monitors and crop records such as tillage practice, seed variety and planting date. Yield analysis of fields with this information is processed so that correlations between yield and yield-determining factors can be identified.
Those of us who work at MFA’s Precision Advantage program are passionate that the knowledge gained by collecting and evaluating field data as exemplified in our book will empower you to make better management decisions and increase your operation’s profitability.
