MFA Charitable Foundation supports Guardian Hills

MFA Incorporated Charitable Foundation presented Guardian Hills Veteran Healing Center of Kirksville, Mo., with a $3,000 grant

A new residential retreat program for veterans in Missouri is one of the latest recipients of a donation from the MFA Incorporated Charitable Foundation. Guardian Hills Veteran Healing Center near Kirksville, Mo., was presented with $3,000 from the foundation on Sept. 30. Pictured are, from left, MFA Director Jim Novinger, Guardian Hills Executive Director Russell Riggins, Guardian Hills President Dan Slawski and MFA Agri Services Kirksville Manager Eric Dabney. Located on 28 acres surrounded by a working farm, the center will offer free, one-week sessions for veterans dealing with post-traumatic stress and moral injury. The MFA grant will help purchase corral panels for equine therapy programs in the organization’s 12,000-square-foot multipurpose arena.
