Move comes as part of MFA's strategic plan to strengthen core operations and enhance services within its cooperative territory.
As part of its strategic plan to strengthen core operations and enhance services within its cooperative territory, MFA Incorporated has reached an agreement to sell its Kansas-based AGChoice retail locations to Beachner Grain, a family-owned agribusiness headquartered in Parsons, Kansas.
Beachner Grain has been a trusted name in eastern Kansas and northeast Oklahoma since 1987. Known for leadership in grain merchandising and transportation, the company is also a major supplier of seed, bulk fertilizers, crop protection products and livestock feed.
The sale includes AGChoice retail locations in Parsons, Weir, Blue Mound, Hepler and Moran.
Both companies are committed to a transition that provides uninterrupted access to products and service for customers. Beachner Grain has expressed interest in retaining current employees at these locations. Customers will receive a communication by mail with additional details.
“We appreciate and thank customers for their loyalty to AGChoice over the years,” said MFA Executive Vice President of Operations Jason Weirich. “The sale is a part of our focus on MFA’s cooperative-based operations. For customers in the area, we believe that Beachner Grain will continue the tradition of providing top-tier products and reliable service.”
A closing date for the sale is targeted by the end of the 2025 calendar year.
